For many years, praying for our Lady of Good Health has been a popular custom. She is closely associated with herbs and the healing power they possess. Her powers are said to be so powerful that the very air they breathe can heal those who inhale them. The Prayer to our Lady of Good Health is used to express our love for her and to ask her to protect us from illness and death.
Our Lady of Good Health is the patron deity of schools and nursing homes
She is often prayed to protect children who are sick and neglectful parents who do not provide health care. Prayer to our Lady of Good Health can also be used to comfort and encourage those who have lost a loved one or who are fighting cancer. Her role as the protector and healer of families and people who are sick and diseased brings great hope to believers. When someone says “amen” in prayer to our Lady of Good Health, this person is asking her to help protect them from sickness and death. In the face of adversity, leaning on faithful prayers becomes our powerful conduit to divine assistance.
O Mary,
You always brighten our path as a sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the sick, who, at the wood of the cross, took part in Jesus’ pain while remaining steadfast in faith.
Oh loving Mother, you know what we need, and we are confident you will provide for us, as in Cana of Galilee. Intercede for us with your Son Jesus, the Divine Physician, for those who have fallen ill, for those who are vulnerable and for those who have died. Intercede also for those charged with protecting the health and safety of others and for those who are tending to the sick and seeking a cure.
Help us, O Mother of Divine Love to conform to the will of the Father and do as we are told by Jesus, who took upon himself our suffering and carried our sorrows, so as to lead us through the Cross, to the glory of the resurrection. Amen
